Movie Synopsis:
Trapped In Paradise is a light-hearted crime comedy revolving around three brothers and their Christmas excursion to the small town with a tight knit community, called Paradise.
Bill Firpo’s first temptation arrives in the form of a lost wallet containing 800 dollars; living with his mother in modest surroundings and on a moderate income he could do with the cash, but after being pulled in two directions, he eventually does the right thing and returns the wallet.
His second temptation proves less easy to resist, and when his two jail bird brothers Dave and Alvin, a psychopathic liar and cleptomaniac respectively, are released on parole for Christmas time, despite knowing exactly how the brothers operate and being familiar with their tricks, Bill is hoodwinked into their planned trip to Paradise, which they say is a favour to one of their fellow inmates to visit his daughter Sarah.
On arriving, they are directed to the bank where Sarah works, where Bill faces his a temptation to the tune of 275,000 dollars. Noticing how easy going and good natured the people of the town are and how there is absolutely no security in the bank, and on discovering guns in the trunk of the car provided by his brothers, Bill finds himself proposing a robbery, which goes off humorously and with great success. However, Paradise itself turns out to be magical in more ways than one, somehow always blocking the attempts of the brothers trying to leave and return to New York with their swag. Chased by local police, local vigilantes, and eventually the inmates who Dave and Alvin had said were friends but were in fact plotting to rob the bank themselves and had kidnapped their mother; and repeatedly shown the most extraordinary kindness, including when they found themselves in the house of the bank manager they had robbed when they are stranded after an accident during their escape attempt on Christmas Eve; the good hearted spell of Paradise starts to have an effect on Bill, leading to him having a change of heart, especially when he finds himself having a very good reason to stay, and suddenly being Trapped in Paradise forever seems like not such a bad idea.
